What makes your candles different?
Each Wolf Candle is hand-poured in small batches in our little den here in Melbourne.
We use premium ingredients including coconut soy wax and lead free cotton wicks. Blending Australian made fragrance oils to carefully craft, story-rich scents inspired by nature, emotion, and connection, that exclusive are us!
Our premium fragrance oils are RIFM and IFRA certified, meaning they adhere to all candle safety standards set by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) and Research Institute for Fragrance Materials
Our candles are slow-burning legends. On average, a single wick candle burns for 35+ hours and our double wick candle burns for 60+ hours when properly cared for. That’s a whole lot of cosy nights in.
And the cherry on top - we donate 5% of every candle purchased to PetRescue to help support furry friends finding their forever homes.
They're more than candles, they’re little vessels of hope. 🐾
What wax do you use?
We use a premium coconut soy wax - because we believe your candle should burn cleaner, longer, and throw scent like a pro.
It’s a wax with a pure wild heart. 🌿🔥
No paraffin wax or nasties in our candles!
Are your candles pet safe?
We’re big animal lovers (hi, Wolf 🐱), our candles are made with non-toxic natural based ingredients such as coconut soy wax and lead free cotton wicks to ensure a clean burn.
We also don't use any, harmful to pets, essential oils like tea tree oil or pine oil.
We don’t use paraffin. Why? Because it's a chemical compound that can mess with your pet’s breathing. We’re all about keeping things natural and safe for your furry pack.
We do however recommend burning candles in well-ventilated areas, away from curious whiskers and paws. Avoid placing candles near your kitties sleep, food, or litter zones. If your cat’s feeling uneasy, snuff it out and let the air flow. Safety first, always. 🐾🔥
Pets have sensitive wee noses, so any strong smells in enclosed areas can could potentially irritate their respiratory system.
How long should I burn my candle for?
For the first time you light your new Wolf candle, let it burn and melt all the way to the edge before extinguishing - single wick candle for 2-3hrs, double wick candle for 3-4hrs.
Each burn after that, keep it to 3 or 4 hours max. to avoid wasting your candles burn time or overheating.
Why does my candle wick mushroom?
That little mushroom 🍄 cap? Totally normal.
Make sure you give the wick a quick trim to 5mm before lighting - think of it like grooming your candle for its best performance.
This will help prevent mushrooming occurring in the first place.
Burning your candle for too long can also cause mushrooming. So keep it to a max burn time of 3-4hrs ✨
Why does my candle tunnel?
Tunnelling happens when the wax doesn’t melt all the way to the edges - usually from short burns aka blowing it out before a full melt pool has been reach.
For best performance, let your candle burn long enough to create a full melt pool, this will help to ensure your candle will stay smooth and even. Which is usually 3-4hrs.
It also helps maximise your burn time for your candle. Yay. No one likes a moody tunnel.
Check out blog on how to repair any tunnelled candles.
Are your candles vegan and cruelty-free?
100%! No animal products, no testing on furry friends - just clean-burning, feel-good ingredients with a conscience. Wolf-approved and kindness-certified. 🐾🌿
What’s the best way to store my candles?
Keep them cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight. 😎
Pop the lid back on between burns to avoid dust and fading.
Treat them like a pampered pet and they’ll stay fresh and fabulous. ✨
