Our Feline Buddy, Wolf!

One day, while scrolling through my emails, a pet alert from PetRescue popped up - and changed everything.

There he was: a tiny kitten with the sweetest face staring back at me. His name? Wolf. Curiosity piqued, I clicked through to read his story - and just like that, I was hooked.

Not only was Wolf an adorable little fluffball, but there was a gentleness in his eyes I couldn’t ignore. His story tugged at every heartstring: abandoned by his mother, rejected by his litter, and attacked by his siblings - all at just a few weeks old. Scared, alone, and misunderstood… he was the definition of a lonewolf.

I knew I had to meet him.  

At our first meeting, he stayed hidden, hissing from his corner - terrified. But beneath all that fear, I saw a kitty just looking for safety and love. I took him home that day and began the slow journey of building trust.

Watching Wolf blossom has been the most rewarding part of our journey. He’s still gentle, still a little cautious, but oh so affectionate in his own special way. His quiet strength, his soft head bunts, the way he rubs his scent on me to say “you’re my person” - it’s all magic.

And yes, he sleeps on my bed now. Every night. I never thought I’d be a ‘pets-on-the-bed’ kind of person… but here we are. And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.

When it came time to name my candle brand, there was no question - Wolf was it.

Scent is one of the ways animals, like Wolf, express trust and connection. Just like his head bunts, our candles are about creating comfort, connection, and a sense of home. Each scent tells a story, stirs a memory, and wraps you in warmth that lingers long after the flame has flickered out.
